Zack is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He holds a Bachelors of Law (LLB) degree from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a Post-Graduate Diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIARB).
He is presently pursuing his masters in International Commercial at the Robert Kennedy University in conjunction with Salford University (online). He has experience in Corporate business management, having served in various leadership capacities in different corporate entities and lawfirms. His last role, was as an Operations Manager, at ABNO Softwares International Limited, a leading Software Company with operations in both Kenya and India, where he was responsible for the strategic day to day operations of the Company, overseeing over 82 projects across the two countries. He was instrumental in the formulation of strategic, practical management tools that helped achieve operational excellence at the Company and improved project management. He has equally gained experience working with various law firms such as CALO Law LLP, where he served as a Partner in Charge of the Corporate Commercial Department, Simiyu, Opondo, Kiranga & Co. advocates, as well as companies, including Rift Valley Railways (RVR), where he worked as a Management Trainee, receiving training in management skills, project management and primarily focused on litigation in employment disputes, corporate governance, company secretarial, commercial contracting and bank securitization. As the Managing Partner, he espouses the principles of high integrity, competence performance and efficient delivery of tasks. He is an accomplished team leader, with experience in building consensus and motivating teams to ensure maximum results are achieved, efficiently and cost effectively.
Ms. Malowa is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 8 years experience having been admitted to the Bar in 2014. She has over the years gained legal practice experience having worked at the Firm of Muma and Kanjama Advocates, where she rose through the ranks to head the Family Law and Real Estate Departments. While at the firm, she was appointed member of the Executive Committee comprising of the two partners and two other senior advocates in the firm with the mandate of developing strategies aimed at growing the firm. She has served in several leadership roles within the Law Society of Kenya as well as in the East Africa Law Society and has gained considerable leadership experience that is instrumental to the growth of the firm. Presently, she heads a team of experienced professionals in the Conveyancing and Real-Estate Department of the firm. Her experience and leadership has helped the department grow and been able to serve the firm's clients with incredible effectiveness and professionalism.
Mr. Kabata is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 5 years of legal experience in Dispute Resolution processes. He brings the team to be part of the Alakonya law family of professional legal service providers to head the Dispute Resolution Department. We believe that he brings immense talent, passion and technical competence to render competent and effective legal services to all our Clients. He has a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, and a post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. In leading the Dispute Resolution department. He has attended and been trained at the Laiden University in international criminal justice and the International mechanisms for dispute resolutions at the Hague.
Teresa is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya holding an LLB degree from Kenyatta University and a Post-graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of law. She has also undertaken a Data Protection Course from the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology (CIPIT) conducted by the Strathmore Law School. She is currently pursuing a qualification as a Certified Data Protection specialist. Teresa has experience in various areas in legal practice and advisory, including: complex commercial litigation, employment law, constitutional law, conveyancing, tax law, banking and securities perfection among others, with particular interest in Commercial and Corporate law, Financing, Technology, Data Privacy and Protection. Her interest in technology and data privacy has seen her actively engage in research, trainings and legal matters surrounding data privacy both in Kenya and internationally; currently engaged as a Team Leader of Communications at Association of Privacy Lawyers in Africa (APLA). Her experience coupled with situation analysis and management is a great addition to the team, aiding in and ensuring delivery of efficient and effective services to the Firm’s Clients.
Otieno is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya & holds an LLB from The University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He has gained experience in corporate governance & restructuring, commercial law, employment & labour relations, and commercial & civil dispute resolution while working in both the public and private sectors for more than three years. He equally has a foothold in legal research and drafting with an eye for detail. Otieno has a keen eye in the development and advancement of and the law especially the impact that advancements in artificial intelligence have in efficiency, privacy, personal data, liability and ethics.
Mwanga holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Moi University and a Postgraduate Diploma from Kenya School of Law. She brings onboard experience from previous engagements at Judy Thongori & Company Advocates, Kithi & Company Advocates, Mayende & Busiega Advocates; and the United Nations in different capacities. Mwanga has a proficiency and keen interest in Constitutional Law, Data Protection Laws, Intellectual Property and Technology Laws amongst other realms of Law. During her free time, she enjoys good ambience, good music and good food in restaurants, travelling and keeping fit.
